PUBG: PGS2 (social media design)
PUBG is one of Steam's most famous battle royale fps games, released in 2017. The PUBG Global Championship settles the year by performing at the PUBG Global Series (PGS). PUBG competitions held worldwide are large competitions with a $2,000,000 prize pool broadcast in real time on major streaming sites such as Twitch, YouTube, Afreeca TV, and Douyu. During the match, each team posted promotional posts on social media using its characteristics and colors to represent the team. Among them, I reproduced promotional posts of the Korean team Danawa and the American team Soniqs.
TEAM DANAWA
Team Danawa's representative color is gold or yellow with low saturation. However, the recently reorganized team members, images, and gameplay styles show "young blood" itself, so I designed it using a yellow color close to neon with high saturation. In addition, based on young and rough gameplay, emojis that characterize the members' faces were included in the design, along with graffiti-style names. Around the members' photos, their nicknames were written down, adding little details for the team's fans to find fun.
TEAM SONIQS
Team Soniqs often produced promotional posts in memes but recently created posts using futuristic designs. Using this, I wanted to express in the poster that it is modern and dynamic to match the team's image. The team's primary colors are neon emerald and pink. I maximized the use of colors within the poster to emphasize the primary colors. Since most Soniqs’ posts are usually humorous and have many memes, promotional posts related to the competition use colorful, striking objects and fonts.
