HYUNJOON YOO: ARCHI-CULTURE (branding)

Hyunjoon Yoo is a famous Korean architect who has won many awards worldwide. I took a typography class at The City College of New York and selected an architect to make a virtual lecture poster into a project. I used curves, straight lines, dotted lines, and arrows to make his name a logo, just like an architectural drawing design. I had to choose the name of the lecture because it was a lecture that didn't exist. People could feel unfamiliar with Korean architects if it was a lecture held in New York; on the other hand, people could learn a variety of architectural cultures through this lecture. So, the lecture was titled "Archi-culture." I used the buildings he built in the poster as a simple illustration. I decided on the primary colors using light gray and red, which gave a sense of unity by using the same colors not only on posters but also on leaflets and merchandise.
